Video2Any vs ScreenApp

Both start from a recording. ScreenApp listens and writes something new; Video2Any keeps the slides the lecture actually showed. The right choice depends on which of those you need.

Video2Any recovers the slides that were already on screen as images in a deck. It does not listen to the narration and ask AI to write a new presentation. If you need editable, AI-written slides, use a generator; if you need the original pages back, use an extractor like this one.

The honest summary: ScreenApp does more than turn a video into slides. It records, transcribes, writes notes and generates an editable deck, and its free trial allows “Up to 45 minutes per recording”, which is longer than our 30-minute free window. We do none of that. If you want notes, a transcript or slides written from the narration, choose ScreenApp. If the slides were already on screen and you need those pages back — an equation, a diagram, the professor’s own layout — that is what we extract, in the browser, with no upload for slide extraction. Our year pass is $29 and our buyout $49; their Pro plan starts at “$19/mo” billed annually (“$228/year”).

Everything in the ScreenApp column is quoted or restated from their own pages, read on 2026-10-30. Prices change — if something here has gone out of date, tell us and we will fix it. We have not run their converter, so this page says nothing about what it produces.
