Dario Faggioli spoke in the Containers devroom at FOSDEM 2021 on toolbox: running your development environment inside a container so the host system stays clean, including the awkward case of graphical applications. Video2Any stepped through the 24-minute recording and kept 33 clean frames, one per slide change, and set aside 7 more that were not slides: a black screen and the webcams of the Q&A at the end. The slides embed screenshots of the speaker's own terminal and windows rather than cutting to a live demo, which is why this converts into a deck at all — the same content demonstrated live would have produced churn instead of pages. - Yes — frames from the published recording, one per slide change. FOSDEM publishes its 2021 recordings under CC BY 2.0 BE, which permits reuse with credit; we credit FOSDEM and link the original above.
- Screenshots inside slides — does that cause problems?
- No. A screenshot on a slide is part of the picture, and the picture still changes and then holds still. What does not work is the live version: a terminal being typed into never settles.
- Can I do this with a talk I have?
