Aniket Mitra presented MoveTK in the Geospatial devroom at FOSDEM 2021: a C++ library for analysing trajectories — trip segmentation, similarity, simplification — with the algorithms introduced one at a time on dark, near-empty slides. Video2Any stepped through the 34-minute recording and kept 53 clean frames, one per slide change. Slides this sparse are a good test of the threshold: almost nothing on screen changes between one algorithm title and the next, and a fixed setting tuned for busy slides would miss them. Video2Any calibrates against the recording it is given. Every image below is real output, extracted in a browser tab with nothing uploaded.

FAQ
- Are these the real slides?
- Yes — frames from the published recording, one per slide change. FOSDEM publishes its 2021 recordings under CC BY 2.0 BE, which permits reuse with credit; we credit FOSDEM and link the original above.
- Do nearly-empty slides get missed?
- Not here, because the threshold is worked out from your particular recording rather than fixed in advance. A deck of sparse dark slides and one of dense white ones do not change by the same amount, and one number could not serve both.
- Can I convert a talk of my own?
- Yes, free for your own files. Drop the recording in and Video2Any exports an .pptx or PDF in your browser, with nothing uploaded.
