  4. 38:10Results and limits

Notes

The guest names one cause behind three stalled teams: an archive nobody owned. The change that worked was smaller than expected, and the part that did not work is written down here too.

From the handout

A chapter list instead of empty slide frames, with the transcript behind it.

Open an audio file or a video podcast, choose Notes, and read the whole conversation as chapters. The transcript is there when you need the exact wording. Nothing is uploaded until you start the run.

  • Transcript and handout
  • Charged by the minute
  • Up to 3 hours per recording

How it works

  1. Open audio or video

Drop an mp3, m4a, wav, or ogg file, or a video podcast. The file is read in this tab.

  2. Choose Notes

The transcript starts first. The handout follows, chapter by chapter, as it is written.

  3. Read or export

Read in the editor, then export Markdown, Word, or PDF. The transcript exports as .txt or .srt.

Where it fits

  • Interviews and long conversations
  • Video podcasts with slides or shared screens
  • Episodes you want to quote later

Pricing

  • Notes uses the same balance as the rest of the product. One unit is $0.01.
  • Billable units: max(audio minutes, page count), one cent each. A podcast is charged by its minutes.
  • 3 free completed runs per account, each up to 30 minutes and 60 pages.
  • You are charged only when the run completes. A failure costs nothing and does not use a trial.

Questions

Does the audio leave my device?
Only when you start Notes, and only the audio needed for the transcript. The file itself stays in the browser.
How long can an episode be?
Up to 3 hours per recording. Paid runs have no separate page or minute ceiling in the editor.
Do I need Spotify or Apple Podcasts?
No. Open a file you already have. YouTube is read through the Chrome or Edge extension, not a link box.
There are no slides. Is that a problem?
No. The handout is built from what was said. The editor shows a player and the chapter list, not an empty slide grid.
Can I get the transcript?
Yes. The transcript tab keeps the spoken text, and the export menu gives you .txt and .srt.
