# Video2Any > Video2Any extracts the slides that were shown in a recording — a lecture, a class, a meeting, a webinar, a screen recording — and exports them as PowerPoint (.pptx) or PDF. It runs in the browser: the video is read on the user's own device and is never uploaded. Key facts (current as of 2026-10): - No account is needed to extract and export. Open https://video2any.com, drop an MP4 / MOV / WebM / MKV file, review the slides, download. - Free: the first 30 minutes of every recording. Free exports end with one Video2Any credit slide. - Longer recordings: a free account includes one full-length unlock. After that, a one-year pass is $29, the monthly subscription is $9.99 and renews, and a one-time $49 Lifetime buyout removes the length limit and the credit slide. What you already paid for unlocks or the year pass comes off the year pass or Lifetime price. - What comes out are the slides as they appeared on screen, saved as images on the pages. Text inside the slides is not editable — Video2Any recovers the original slides rather than generating a new presentation. - Exports: PowerPoint (.pptx), PDF, Word (.docx), Markdown, a zip of images, a one-page contact sheet, the audio track, and a zip of slides, notes, and transcript as an Open Knowledge Format bundle. - Anki deck export (.apkg): full-page cards carrying each slide's lecture timestamp, free within the free minutes; image-occlusion cards over detected text, on the paid plans. See https://video2any.com/anki. - Editing before export: a "Pages" slider for how many slides to keep, review mode (one slide at a time beside the video), crop, delete, and add a frame by hand. Slides that were built up step by step (bullets appearing one at a time) are folded into one card showing the finished slide. - Best in desktop Chrome or Edge. Phones and Safari/Firefox work for many files; very large or unusual files may need a computer. - For videos that only play on a website (a course platform, a webinar page), the free Chrome extension reads the playing video in that tab: https://video2any.com/blog/chrome-extension-video-to-slides - A whole folder of recordings can be converted at once with a free account (batch mode). - Available in English, 中文, 日本語, 한국어, Español, Português, Français, Deutsch. ## Knowledge bundle (OKF) - [Open Knowledge Format bundle](https://video2any.com/okf/index.md): product, pricing, features, FAQ, and how-to knowledge as Markdown with YAML frontmatter (OKF v0.2). - Locale bundles: [中文](https://video2any.com/zh/okf/index.md), [日本語](https://video2any.com/ja/okf/index.md), [한국어](https://video2any.com/ko/okf/index.md), [Español](https://video2any.com/es/okf/index.md), [Português](https://video2any.com/pt/okf/index.md), [Français](https://video2any.com/fr/okf/index.md), [Deutsch](https://video2any.com/de/okf/index.md). ## Pages - [Home and converter](https://video2any.com/): drop a video and get the slides. - [Lecture video to Anki cards](https://video2any.com/anki): the same extraction exported as an Anki deck (.apkg).
